Register a Domain
2 minRegister your domain with any registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.). Examples: yourname.com, yourname.io. Keep your registrar dashboard open for DNS settings.
Access Domain Settings in MyFolioHub
1 minGo to Settings → Domains in your MyFolioHub dashboard. Click "Add Custom Domain" and enter your domain name (e.g., yourname.com).
Get DNS Records
1 minMyFolioHub will provide you with DNS records (CNAME or A records). Copy these values carefully—you'll need them to configure your registrar.
Update Registrar DNS
3 minLog into your domain registrar. Navigate to DNS/Name Servers settings. Add the CNAME/A records provided by MyFolioHub. Save changes—DNS can take 24-48 hours to propagate.
Verify Domain Connection
2 minReturn to MyFolioHub and click "Verify". MyFolioHub will check DNS records. Once verified, your custom domain is active. Your portfolio is now accessible at yourname.com.
Set Up SSL Certificate
1 minMyFolioHub automatically provisions an SSL certificate. Your domain will have HTTPS enabled within minutes.
💡 Pro Tips
- DNS Propagation: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours. If verification fails, wait and try again later.
- Subdomain: You can use subdomains too (portfolio.yourname.com). Configure similarly in your registrar.
- Email forwarding: Some registrars offer email forwarding to yourname.com addresses. Configure separately in your registrar settings.
